Comfortable, spacious and safe: every one of our 29 bedrooms has been specially-designed to offer a standard of living that is, quite simply, second-to-none. Each room looks out onto our stunning gardens, and all benefit from period features, including ornate stained-glass windows, charming alcoves and even marble fireplaces. We have added a few modern touches, however: flat-screen televisions with Digital channels enable each resident to enjoy their favourite programmes, and specially-designed en-suite bathrooms with secure grab-rails mean bathing is safe as well as enjoyable.
All of our bedrooms are cleaned each day, and each resident is encouraged add personal touches such as photographs, paintings and furniture; even a favourite style of wallpaper or colour scheme!
Picking the right people who share our values is absolutely essential. To help us get it right, we offer each resident the opportunity to be on our interview panel whenever we are recruiting a new employee. This way, we ensure we get the best staff with the right attitude.
As an official award-holder of the government’s Investors in People scheme, we also offer outstanding care, support and development for our own staff, The fact that many of the St Christopher’s team have been with us for over 10 years is testimony to our unerring support for them – and to the extent to which they enjoy their work.
This incredible loyalty and devotion means we can offer a level of continuity that is unrivalled in most other care homes in the UK.
